Senior Security Engineer

The Security Engineer develops and implements enterprise information security architectures and solutions, while serving as a security expert in application development, database design, network, and/or platform (operating system) efforts. He/She helps project teams comply with enterprise and IT security policies, industry regulations, and best practices. Additionally, the security engineer: Researches, designs, and advocates new technologies, architectures, and security products that will support security requirements for the enterprise and its customers, business partners, and vendors. Serves as a security expert in application development, database design, network, and/or platform (operating system) efforts, helping project teams comply with enterprise and IT security policies, industry regulations, and best practices. Contributes to the development and maintenance of information security strategy and architecture. Analyzes business impact and exposure based on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and risks. Communicates security risks and solutions to business partners and IT staff as needed. Manages and operates security related tools. Develops operational metrics to support Key Risk Indicators. Owns, updates and distributes process documents for each security layer/control. Documents security event monitoring triggers, thresholds, filters and alert mechanisms. Collaborates with internal and cross-functional teams to create performance baselines for security. Collaborates with cross-functional teams and correlates data from existing systems to provide ongoing threat intelligence to the information security and risk management program. Requirements: Bachelor?s degree or equivalent work experience and 5+ years? related IT security experience Security-related certifications Experience with Digital Guardian DLP and/or PowerBroker Password Safe strongly desired Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as the proven ability to create technical documentation for use by other technology and/or business professionals Experience developing IT security standards and procedures Demonstrated knowledge / understanding of IT industry trends and emerging technologies as well as the ability to relate them to company goals - provided by Dice

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
