Manufacturing Engineer

JOB SUMMARY: Located in our growing Oakdale, MN facility, the Manufacturing Engineer will be primarily responsible for successful integration of customer product into manufacturing. This includes execution of New Product Introductions & Engineering Change Orders, developing manufacturing processes and documentation, product cost, ensuring product quality, and co

Develop process routing for new customer product.
Execution of Engineering Change Orders and Deviations
Identify and/or develop tooling as necessary to support manufacturing.
Provide support to Process Engineering for specification, design, and installation of production equipment.
Review and evaluate project requirements; translate requirements into manufacturing process routings and work instructions.
Identify, execute, and document Continuous Improvement activities.
Response to Corrective Action requests for assigned customer products.
Provide technical analysis and input for process changes and equipment enhancement to increase utilization and production quality.
Interface with production to trouble shoot and resolve engineering issues.
Provide training to maintenance personnel and transition support for new equipment.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
Attend meetings as needed to support organizational activity.
Interface with customers as required.
Perform other duties, as assigned, to achieve corporate and departmental objectives.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, talk, hear, and see. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or reach with hands and arms. The environment is fast-paced; time pressured, and requires accuracy. The employee will regularly multi-task between projects, be required to move throughout the building, and effectively communicate. The normal environment is typical of an open cubical setting on a shop floor with some areas that may be louder at times.

Qualifications
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
3-6 years experience as a Manufacturing or Process Engineer.
Experience in Contract Manufacturing and EMS industry strongly desired.
Experience in Aerospace, Defense, or Medical industries.
Lean Manufacturing experience.
Six Sigma Green belt.
Experience in customer facing roles.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or similar. An appropriate combination of education and experience may be considered in the absence of a Bachelor's degree.
Ability to operate and have knowledge in using shop floor control and ERP software.
Ability to use gerber file readers, CADCAM, or CircuitCAM.
Ability to assign cost analysis criteria to projects and determine potential ROI on a project by project basis.
Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and demonstrate the ability to determine critical parameters and develop process controls.
Must be able to read and understand PCA assembly drawings and technical notes.
Proficient technical writing skills.
Strong communication skills.
Demonstrated organizational skills, with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a timely manner in a fast-paced environment
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to relate to and work with diverse groups of people, handle sensitive and confidential situations and materials.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
